I am running the latest Mendeley 1.5.1 on ubuntu 12.04, it got stuck at Mendeley setup window, when I click on the continue buttom there is no response.
What's wrong with it?
Could you please follow the instructions for creating a verbose log (http://www.mendeley.com/faq/#generate-verbose-log), but instead of using the command -verbose-log, please use "-setting General_FirstRun:false" without the quotation marks. This should start Mendeley Desktop, from where you can sign in through Preferences.

Thanks for your answer, now I am able to open the Mendeley main window, but I can't find the Preferences menu, looks like none of the menus(file edit view tools help) exist. Is there any other solutions to this problem?
Hi Jiao,
try to move the mouse to the top panel and there the menu should reveal. You can also try to tap ALT and enter "options" when the Mendeley window is in focus.
The first one doesn't work, the second one works.
Thanks a lot.
I am sorry, both of them works~
