I have changed my Mendeley account's e-mail address successfully and when I try to change it on Mendeley Desktop so that it keeps synchronizing, it says it is not possible to change my e-mail account and then crashes. This has happened over and over again. I even tried re-installing Mendeley Desktop but it keeps happening. What can I do to solve this problem?
Do you upload your PDF file attachments to the web library? If so, could you please follow these steps and see if they help:
1) Open Mendeley Desktop and click Help >Reset Mendeley Desktop (if you cannot open Mendeley Desktop to complete this step, please skip to step 2)
2) Find and delete your local database (http://www.mendeley.com/faq/#locate-database)
3) Reopen Mendeley Desktop and sign in again
This should repopulate your database from your web library and hopefully resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.
